PORNOGRAPHY! The word brings to mind "back room" buldings, seedy street corners, dirty people, trashy places. WRONG!
Pornography has taken up a new residence-in our homes! Pornography knows no color or class! It affects all races, all sexes,
all levels of education,all religions,and even all ages. It is threatening the sanctity of our marriages. Our families are
falling apart and our society is turning into a land of lust and adultery! It is time that we as Christians join together
and stop this travesty that is destroying us all!
Remember "girlie" magazines? We used to think "oh those are harmless"
and "boys will be boys". Now those boys have become men and those so-called harmless magazines have provided a gateway into
Satan's playground! Women are being degrated and used. Our young girls are growing up with thoughts that to fit in they must
be like those girls. Our young boys are growing up with no respect for women. This has got to stop!
Porn addiction
used to be harder. Men had to go and buy this garbage. They felt embaressed and therefore, were "closet addicts". Today, through
the net, a person can sit in the privacy and comfort of their own home and with the click of a mouse, they can view things
that the normal mind can't even imagine!
Many studies have proven that pornography can lead to violence! Many serial
killers got their start in the web of porn. There was a broadcast several months ago on a popular Christian news station.
They discussed the issue of pornography and how it has entered our churches. There was a story of a pastor who was secretly
involved in pornography. He got drawn deeper and deeper into it until looking at pictures alone no longer satisfied him. One
night, he waited in a dark parking lot. There was a female walking-he stalked her, planning to rape her! She called the police
before he got the chance! He said she saved his life-that it took hitting rock bottom to realize what he was doing!
Pornographers have become more crafty in their attempts to reel victims in! Many of these smut factories find well
known sites on the web and get an almost identical web address so that if the person trying to get to a favorite site types
one wrong letter, it takes them to filth! I have found that this is a rather common gimic and one we should all be wary
of!
Did you know if you visit a site called the White House, this is porn??? What if an innocent child happened upon this
site while doing research for school??? This could begin an addiction before he even hits puberty! When I was
pregnant with my first child, I went to what was suppossed to be a pregnancy information site! What showed up on the
screen sent me to vomiting!
Another tactic that these porn sites are using, I call " attack of the pop-ups". You accidently click on a site
window and find out it is a porn site. You try to close this window and it won't close and suddenly you find yourself
bombarded by window after window that will not let you escape unless you cut your computer off! This is one of their
main tactics to pull people in and make them slaves to pornography!
Another thing they like to use is the email tactic. They will take a certain name such as Jenny and come up with
every possible email address using that name and send out their filth in groups. You can block the email address, but
they have many that they use and they will send you emails under another address. Many of these emails say that you
can unsubscribe, but when you reply to the email, you quickly find that the address doesn't exist! Since I have begun
this website, I daily get three to four porn emails. Imagine what this would cause if I were an addict???
We all need to become involved in stopping this!! If no one stands up against this industry, it will never go away!
We need to be in constant prayer, seeking the Lord always on what we can do! You've taken the first step by visiting
a site commited to stop this insanity!!
